Body corporate approval. Most buildings ask for it, and we recommend checking your by-laws first — if your carpark already has over bonnet storage units, there shouldn't be an issue. Our body corporate page has what your building manager will want to see.

Rental FAQ
StorageNest does — you're hiring it, not buying it on a payment plan. That's what keeps the weekly rate low, and it means we're responsible for the unit itself. Because it stays ours, normal wear is on us — but if the unit is damaged beyond that or isn't returned, the replacement charge is $1,749, its physical value.
Most buildings require body corporate or strata approval — check your by-laws first, and if you're renting, square it with your landlord too. It's usually an easy conversation: the unit is freestanding, doesn't touch or alter any part of the building, and is taken away at the end of your term. Over bonnet storage is already common in apartment carparks, so committees approve readily. Ask us for the approval form and we'll send it over.
Your one-off delivery & installation fee — $149 on the 12-month plan, $199 on the 6-month — plus your first week's rent. That's it. The install fee covers getting the unit in now and collecting it at the end, so there's nothing to pay when it goes.
Talk to us early. Because the unit is fully portable, we can often relocate it to your new building — just ask us for a relocation quote. If you'd rather finish up, there's a one-off early finish fee of $249 to cover collecting the unit early. That's the only charge — you don't owe the rest of the term.
Nothing dramatic. We retry it automatically over the next couple of weeks and let you know — there's no dishonour fee, the missed weeks simply stay owing and are collected once your payment goes through. If it's still unpaid after 14 days we'll get in touch to sort out a plan.
Every unit comes with two keys. You get one, and we keep the second as a recovery key, logged against your lock's serial number — so a lost key never means cutting the lock off. Call us and we'll cut a new one and post it out. Fees apply, and we'll tell you the cost before we do anything.
